Students for Sensible Drug Policy at NYU presents BRINGING IT HOME

Wednesday, Apr 29, 8 pm
Kimmel Center, Room 802 Shorin
Join NYU Students for Sensible Drug Policy (with help from the New York Hemp Industries Association) for a post-Earth Day screening and discussion on one of the most Earth-friendly plants out there: HEMP!

We will be having a movie screening of a documentary titled Bringing It Home, that touches on the history of hemp, why it was made illegal, and why that really just shouldn't be. You can't even get high off of it! But you can make anything from healthy food to concrete with it.

And learn more about Hemp History Week, an initiative to get people realizing that this product has endless potentials, even planet-saving ones! http://hemphistoryweek.com/

Guest speaker Lev Kelman, the owner of Brooklyn Dark, a local chocolate company that makes vegan and nutrient (hemp) packed chocolates will come to speak after the screening. Also SAMPLES! (delicious chocolate will be available for purchase as well)

Additional food will be provided.
