Did you know that one of the most sustainable materials on earth today is currently illegal to grow in most of the U.S.? Industrial Hemp, marijuana’s lesser known cousin, can be used to make everything from plastic to textile and even concrete and food. The only thing this versatile plant can’t do is get you high. So it’s time to take back our right to grow Hemp -- to boost our economy and to provide sustainable and healthy product alternatives.
Atlanta's official 2015 Hemp History Week event will feature a panel discussion on Hemp’s story, a screening of the documentary Bringing It Home, and a showcase of various hemp products including food and drinks.
